This is a very famous side dish. This can go with any type of food. Sweet as well as chilly.
These below ingredients are needed.
- Onion-1 pc cut into 4 pieces
- Long green chillies- 10-12 pieces
- Garlic- 6-7 pieces
- Tomato- 1 big piece cut into 4 pieces
- Tamarind water
- Salt
- Sugar or jaggery
- Cumin seeds
- Curry leaves
- Channa dal- 3 teaspoon full
This is a very simple recipe which can be prepared within 8-10 minutes. First roast the chilly pieces, onion pieces, garlic and tomato pieces (without oil). The color will change in 3-4 minutes.
Take them out and put all of them in a blender. Please add sugar or jagerry to it. Then put some salt (as per taste) and the tamarind water. Blend it to a fine paste.
In the meantime take some oil in the frying pan. Put the channa dal to it. Once the colour changes add some cumin seeds along with the curry leaves to it. Fry it for 2-3 minutes in low flame. Once done pour it to our paste. Mix it properly.
Your green chilly chutney is ready. Enjoy it with paratha or even with Roti.
